The Upturned Glass (1947)

A prominent neurosurgeon tells his medical students the story of an affair he once had with a married woman. After the affair ends, the woman mysteriously falls from a window and dies. Believing she was murdered, the surgeon embarks on a quest to uncover her killer. Instead of involving the police, he plans to exact his own revenge.
