The Secret of Convict Lake (1951)

Jim Canfield, wrongfully convicted of a crime he did not commit, escapes from a Nevada prison with several hardened criminals. He leads them to a small farming community—the home of the man who not only framed him, but actually committed the crime. Jim's plans for revenge are put on hold when he discovers the local men have joined a posse to track the escapees, leaving their women behind. Jim becomes attracted to the beautiful and resourceful Marcia, who is engaged to the man who framed him. As he tries to protect the women from his ruthless comrades, Jim must balance his desire for revenge, his growing feelings for Marcia, and the struggle to maintain his resolve.
