Princess O'Rourke (1943)
Princess Maria is visiting New York, but finds herself having little fun. Her uncle suggests she spend a few days in San Francisco, but nervous about flying, Maria takes a sleeping pill before her flight. Unbeknownst to her, the pilot, navigator, and stewardess all also provide her with pills to calm her jitters. When bad weather diverts the flight back to New York, the very sleepy princess ends up in the care of pilot Edward O'Rourke, who kindly takes her to his apartment for the night. The next day, Maria wakes to find a note from O'Rourke and decides to meet him after work. Determined to keep her true identity hidden, she pretends to be a poor European maid. However, before the day is done, O'Rourke proposes marriage to her.
