Fury at Furnace Creek (1948)

Set in the Arizona wilderness in 1880, 'Fury at Furnace Creek' follows the aftermath of a disastrous command decision. Gen. Fletcher Blackwell orders Capt. Walsh to abandon a wagon train's escort, leaving it vulnerable to attack. Apache leader Little Dog takes advantage, massacring the fort’s inhabitants and breaking the tenuous peace with the settlers. As the Apaches are nearly wiped out, Gen. Blackwell is court-martialed for treason. His two sons, Cash and Capt. Rufe Blackwell—each with a markedly different disposition—work separately to uncover evidence that will clear their father’s name.
