Destry (1954)
In the Old West, the small frontier town of Restful is under the control of ruthless mob boss Decker and his cronies. When the local sheriff dies under mysterious circumstances, Decker arranges for the town drunk to be appointed sheriff, believing he will pose no threat. However, the new sheriff surprises everyone by requesting Tom Destry, the son of a legendary lawman, as his deputy. Upon his arrival, Destry is not the gun-toting, intimidating figure everyone expects; instead, he chooses not to carry a gun, favoring a calm and strategic approach. Nevertheless, beneath Destry's mild-mannered exterior is a fierce determination to bring justice to Restful—a fact Decker and the townsfolk are soon to discover.
