Destination Inner Space (1966)

Strange events occur at an experimental underwater laboratory when a mysterious object of unknown origin is detected nearby. A group of researchers investigates and soon encounters a large automated extraterrestrial probe. After boarding the craft, they discover a smaller object, initially believed to be an instrument package, which they bring back to their lab for closer examination. Events soon take a dangerous turn.
