In 1690, years after Captain Blood was pardoned by the Crown for his daring deeds against the Spanish, he lives quietly on his plantation in the West Indies, practicing medicine and planning his marriage to Isabella. However, his peaceful life is shattered when Hilary Evans arrives and arrests him on a piracy charge. Someone has been raiding the islands and framing Captain Blood. To prove his innocence, Captain Blood must once again set sail under the Jolly Roger.
