California Conquest (1952)
Set in the 1840s, "California Conquest" follows a period when California is still part of Mexico. Many citizens desire to join the United States, but other nations, including Russia, have interests in the region. The Russians have established bases in northern California and have stolen weapons to strengthen their position. Don Arturo Bordega, a leader of the statehood movement, sets out to recover the stolen arms.
