Blossoms in the Dust (1941)

Edna Kahly Gladney marries Texan wheat mill operator Sam Gladney. Through a chance discovery, Edna becomes aware of how harshly the law treats children without parents. Determined to make a difference, she opens a home for foundlings and orphans, working tirelessly to place children in loving homes.
